We are about to embark on potty training. I think Sofie is ready but I have just been to lazy to get to it I guess. I am tired of buying diapers and dealing with poop disposal. although I know I will have to dump it out of the potty chair, somehow that seems much easier than when it gets all smashed in a diaper. I made this descion to day when Sofie woke up from her nap, reached in her diaper to scratch her but and came out with major poop fingers. She had pooped while sleeping and then woke up, scratched and the rest is history.

We went to Panama City Beach on vacation 2 weeks ago and Sofie really seemed to have a great time. Boy is vacation with a toddler tiring. We needed a vacation from our vacation. She loved being on the beach everyday and swimming in the pool in the afternoons. We had great naps and yummy meals and lots of cupcakes and junk food that I try to limit when we are home. I am surpirsed the kid didnt end up with diabetes we let her have so much sugar! But that's what vacation is for right?

So far Sofie has avoided the terrible two's. Oh we have our days. Days where I really wish I could just send her back, but for the most part those days are few and far between. She is a delight to be around and she is showing us what a kind and caring soul she is developing. She is very good at sharing and taking turns and whenever she sees other kids she can play with she just lights up. That is what I live for. Those little glimpses of the person she is growing up to be. it lets me know that maybe, just maybe I am doing a few things right.
