I am glad to announce that I have been able to go 5 days without taking any anti - nausea meds my doctor gave me. What a relief to know I am finally over this pregnancy hump. The meds helped we not want to puke every 20 minutes but on the down side they gave me raging headaches and terrible constipation.
Next Tuesday we get to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. I can't wait because I am really anxious to start planning names, gear and whatever else we may need that we don't already have. I am also anxious to make sure everything is alright with the baby. Due to the fact that I am almost 40 I feel a small amount of anxiety in that area. I know it is all up to God and we have opted not to have genetic testing but they can tell us a lot from the ultra sound as well. I am kind of bummed that Ken won't be able to be there though. He has to go to Grand Rapids for corporate orientation for Meijer all week. At least my mom will be able to come down and watch Sofie while I have the ultra sound since they told me no kids are allowed in there.
We are settling in to our new apartment and new town well. I must admit I really miss Florida and the warmth and sunshine but I am glad to be near friends and family. I made Ken promise to be snow birds as soon as we are financially able when we get older or at least by the time #2 graduates from High school since I will indeed be of "snowbird age" by them!
